When I stumbled upon Passion and Growth, I knew I had found something special. Passion and Growth is a subscription box made specifically for women, with self-love and self-care in mind.
Lo, the founder and mastermind of the operation, has to be one of the most bubbly and motivated people ever. A childhood tumor left her with a scar on her face; a scar that was one of her biggest insecurities for years.
But over time, she realized that she didn’t want to spend her life obsessing over something so unique and beautiful. So. she created a subscription product for women to embrace their full potential. Lo was determined to create a movement that reflected her new outlook on life: this became what is now known as Passion and Growth.

Manna Kadar Champagne Charcoal Scrub
Nothing says luxury like a good body scrub. Scented like champagne (boujee!), this charcoal concoction leaves my skin feeling smooth and rejuvenated. I’m so bad at using beauty products beyond the very basics, but I’ve learned that something as simple as exfoliation can make me feel better and totally change my mood.
Indigo Authority Rose Gold Bracelet: I just gotta say, this might be my newest jewelry obsession. It’s delicate yet gorgeous. I’m a sucker for simple jewelry (I haven’t yet gotten the hang of statement pieces, to be honest!) and this bracelet is so easy to pair with some of my favorite outfits.

I’ve come to love memoirs from genuine women speaking their truth. Chrissy Metz, best known for her character on the show This is Us, writes about her body journey and the years it took to develop self-love. As silly as it may sound, hearing a celebrity talk about struggles that are similar to mine can be incredibly therapeutic. Not that being part of an amazing body-positive, self-love community isn’t amazing! There’s just something really validating about remembering that even famous people are FAR from perfect. And, to make it even more amazing, the copy is signed by Chrissy herself!
Velvet Luxe Facial Jade Crystal Roller
Let’s face it, it can be tough to justify spending money on yourself. Especially on products that you can’t really justify. This jade roller is amazing, and the definition of a treat. I hope my classmates and professors are ready to see me rolling my face during Zoom meetings because I’m obsessed.
I love the name Passion and Growth because it reflects two super important values in my life: finding and pursuing what I’m passionate about, and not being afraid to grow. So often, we find ourselves doing the same tasks, repeating things over and over… and we forget that it’s OK to want to venture out and try something new. It’s OK if we aren’t the person we were last year, or last month, or even last week. Hell, if I was still the same girl as I was going into college, I would probably still be afraid to address my mental illness, and I would be playing it safe instead of taking risks. Growth is good. Change is good. Yes, you are perfect just the way you are, but don’t be afraid to follow your heart if it’s calling you to step out of your comfort zone.
